My Perfect Weekend (A1)

Hello! My name is Tom, and I want to tell you about my perfect weekend. On Saturday mornings, I like to run in the park. Running helps me stay fit. After running, I meet my friend Jack, and we ride a bicycle together. We often go on a picnic near the lake. We take sandwiches and drinks in our bags.

In the afternoon, I take my dog for a walk. My dog is black and white, and he loves his blue leash. Sometimes he barks at birds! After walking my dog, I go swimming at the local swimming pool. I can swim freestyle and butterfly, but I’m not very good at breast stroke.

On Saturday evenings, I usually meet friends. We sometimes go to the cinema to see a film, or we go to the disco to dance. Sometimes we just watch TV together – usually the news or the weather forecast.

On Sundays, I have a rest in the morning. I love sleeping late in my comfortable bed! Then I study English – I want to learn this foreign language well. In the afternoon, I often go shopping at the mall. I like to buy goods.

I have many other hobbies too. I play a musical instrument – the drums. My sister plays the piano, and sometimes we play music together. We love listening to music – the Beatles are our favorite! I also enjoy reading books. Right now, I’m reading a novel by Mark Twain.

Sometimes I go fishing with my father. We take our fishing rods and lines to the river. In summer, we like to travel. We go on trips to different places. Last summer, we went on a journey to Spain. It was an amazing voyage!
