The City Then and Now (A2)

The city was very different many years ago. In the past, the streets were quiet and small. There were not many cars. People walked or rode bicycles. The parks were bigger, and there were many trees. Children played outside every day. The shops were small and had local products. Everyone knew each other. It was a friendly place.

Now, the city is much bigger. The streets are busy and full of cars. People hurry to work and school. The parks are smaller because new buildings are everywhere. There are many shops, but many of them are big and sell the same things. Sometimes, people do not know their neighbors. The city is very different.

The buildings now are tall and modern. They have glass windows and bright lights. In the past, the buildings were shorter and made of brick. They had a special character. The city now has new parks, but they are not the same as before. The old parks had more nature and space for children to play.
